![]() ![]() Lines per Inch ¶Ī different, often more intuitive way of controlling the line interval, or spacing between rows. Line Interval ¶Ĭontrols the spacing between scanned rows, and indirectly controls 'Lines per Inch'. ![]() If you do not see this setting, your machine is likely a DSP controller and handles this automatically in hardware. If your machine has low acceleration or you see darker burns at the sides of your fills, you may need to increase the amount of overscanning. When enabled, adds extra moves to the beginning and end of each line to give the laser time to speed up before firing, and slow down afterward. When enabled, runs a second engraving pass 90 degrees rotated from the first to ensure a consistent and thorough fill. Depending on the type of laser, enabling this can save significant time on long engraving jobs. When disabled, the laser will engrave traveling one way, then return to the start of the next line, not engraving the return pass. ![]() When enabled, the laser will engrave in a side-to-side sweeping motion, engraving in one direction and again for the return direction. We've updated the terminology to make it easier for new users. This board does not offer control of power through software – we recommend upgrading the board to take full advantage of LightBurn. In older versions of LightBurn the 'Fill' mode was referred to as 'Scan'. Please note that LightBurn does not support the stock M2-Nano board in the popular K40 laser. If it doesn’t work, sometimes it only takes a day or two to make the required changes to support a new board in these existing families. If your controller is GCode, Ruida, Trocen, or TopWisdom based, even if it’s not listed it might be supported already – Download the free trial and try it for yourself. More controllers will be added soon, so if you don’t see yours listed, send us a message – maybe we’re already working on it! Supported Trocen controllers include the AWC708C, AWC608, and TL-3120. Supported Ruida controllers include the RDC6442G/S, RDC6445G, RDC6332G, RDLC-320A, and R5-DSP. Supported GCode controllers, include Grbl, Smoothieware, Grbl-LPC, and Marlin. We currently support most Ruida, Trocen, TopWisdom, and GCode based controllers. LightBurn talks directly to your laser, without the use of additional software. ![]()
